What is a Naturopathic Doctor ?

In the state of California, the title Naturopathic Doctor, or ND, is given upon successful graduation from an accredited 4-year full-time post-graduate naturopathic medical program. NDs complete a total of 8 years of university. An ND must apply for California licensure from the Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine. Un-licensable naturopaths may call themselves naturopaths but may not use the terms ND or Naturopathic Doctor.
